Hope and Miracles

Recently my very dear friend had to undergo a bone marrow transplant after she was diagnosed with a blood cancer in late February. The entire process will take about a year from start to finish. It is impossible to describe how this makes me feel as her friend, but I can’t begin to wrap my head around how she feels. So far she has come through this amazingly well and is on the home stretch now. She is a fierce, brave warrior and SO STRONG! We talk most everyday as she is a few hours away to be close to the hospital where she’s been treated. I miss her like crazy and can’t wait to visit as soon as she’s up for it.

Paula loves to make jewelry with me and it’s just so much fun to hang out in my garage studio with her! We have made some hilarious memories for sure, and some gorgeous jewelry. I’ve been busy creating while she’s been healing and I cannot wait until we’re back in the studio creating…..or at happy hour!!

About turtlemoondesigns

Sky watcher, dreamer, seeker, stone hoarder.... Finding a love and growing passion for metalsmithing happened as a later in life discovery. I taught preschool for 23 years, but started doing metal work as a hobby about 13 years ago. All I can say is that I get lost and found in it. Three years ago I "retired" from teaching, I'm way too young for that! Now I follow my muse, and feel more filled up in my heart and soul than I could have ever imagined, but I do miss those sweet little faces too!! What a truly amazing thing this has become, my life! Please feel free to contact me with questions or for custom work.
