Beadfest fun!!

Standard

Well, for the first time ever, I traveled alone to Philly to go to the Beadfest, spent the night alone in a really nice hotel and took an awesome class taught by Richard Salley and Jessica Jordan of Rosy Revolver. I learned so much and met some wonderful like minded folks. It was just so cool!! I encourage any and everyone to do something like this. It’s liberating and just so much fun. Yeah, I worked hard and focused… which for me isn’t always easy. I stepped way out of my comfort zone by driving in big city traffic  alone. I’m a home girl by choice but sometimes you have to go with your gut. Here are a few pics of the bracelet I made. Thanks for taking a look.

About turtlemoondesigns

Sky watcher, dreamer, seeker, stone hoarder.... Finding a love and growing passion for metalsmithing happened as a later in life discovery. I taught preschool for 23 years, but started doing metal work as a hobby about 13 years ago. All I can say is that I get lost and found in it. Three years ago I "retired" from teaching, I'm way too young for that! Now I follow my muse, and feel more filled up in my heart and soul than I could have ever imagined, but I do miss those sweet little faces too!! What a truly amazing thing this has become, my life! Please feel free to contact me with questions or for custom work.
